The CLEVELAND C41671 is a 2-flute, high speed steel keyway end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking applications. With a cutting diameter of 0.125 inches and a length of cut of 0.375 inches, this end mill is suited for finishing passes requiring tight tolerances. The straight shank with Weldon flat provides secure tool holding in standard end mill holders. A 30-degree helix angle promotes smooth chip evacuation, and the centercutting geometry allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece.
This end mill is used in machine shop and maintenance environments for slotting, keyway cutting, and light profiling on ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The uncoated high speed steel construction makes it a practical choice for general-purpose finishing work where regrinding is common. It fits standard 3/8-inch shank tool holders and is appropriate for manual mills and CNC machining centers operating at speeds suited to HSS tooling.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement for standard 3/8-inch straight shank end mill holders used in manual mills and CNC machining centers requiring 0.125-inch diameter HSS keyway tooling.
Installation is performed by machinists using a standard end mill holder or collet chuck rated for 3/8-inch shank tooling. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. The Weldon flat should be aligned with the set screw in the holder and torqued per the tool holder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before commencing cuts.
