The CLEVELAND C41275 is a 4-flute, single-end square end mill designed for material removal and profiling in general-purpose milling applications. Manufactured from high speed steel (HSS), it measures 1.125 inches in cutter diameter with a 2-inch length of cut (LOC) and a 1-inch straight-cylindrical shank with a Weldon flat for positive drive retention. Overall length is 4.5 inches. The 30-degree helix spiral flute geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation and stable cutting action. Centercutting capability allows plunge entry directly into a workpiece, making this tool suitable for slotting, pocketing, and peripheral milling operations.
This end mill is suited for use on manual knee mills and CNC machining centers across light industrial and job-shop environments. Its uncoated HSS construction performs well on cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and steel workpieces. Right-hand cut, right-hand flute orientation is standard for conventional milling setups. The Series HG-4C designation places it in Cleveland's regular-length, general-purpose end mill line. It is typically installed by machinists and tooling technicians working in fabrication, maintenance, and production environments.
Designed for use on workpiece materials including cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and steel. Accepts standard 1-inch bore end mill holders and Weldon-style set-screw tool holders. Part of the CLEVELAND HG-4C regular-length series.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists using a 1-inch end mill holder or Weldon-flat collet chuck. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before inserting or removing the tool. Verify set-screw engagement on the Weldon flat before operation to prevent axial pullout under load. Follow the machine tool manufacturer's recommendations for spindle speed and feed rate based on workpiece material and depth of cut.
