The CLEVELAND C39150 is a double-end ball end mill designed for precision milling and finishing operations in metal fabrication and machining environments. Built from high speed steel with a titanium nitride (TiN) coating, it delivers extended tool life and reduced friction on ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces. The mill features a 0.375-inch diameter, a 0.5625-inch length of cut, and a 3.5-inch overall length. Its two-flute, right-hand spiral configuration at a 30-degree helix angle supports efficient chip evacuation during finishing passes. Licensed machinists and toolroom technicians are the primary users of this end mill in production and job shop settings.
This end mill is suited for finishing operations on cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and steel. The double-end configuration provides two usable cutting ends per tool, improving cost efficiency in high-cycle production environments. The 0.375-inch shank diameter fits standard collet chucks and end mill holders used in vertical machining centers and manual knee mills. It is sized in the regular length category, making it appropriate for general-purpose slotting, profiling, and contour milling where extended reach is not required.
Designed for use with standard 0.375-inch collet chucks and end mill holders compatible with vertical machining centers and manual milling machines. Primary workpiece materials include cast iron, non-ferrous metal, and steel as specified by the manufacturer.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and the machine in a locked-out state per applicable OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Ensure the collet or end mill holder is clean and free of chips before seating the shank. Torque the retention mechanism according to the toolholder manufacturer's specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning the first cut to protect both the tool and the workpiece.
