The CLEVELAND C39093 is a 2-flute, single-end square end mill designed for material removal and profiling in metalworking and machining operations. Built from high speed steel (HSS) with a titanium nitride (TiN) coating, it offers improved wear resistance compared to uncoated HSS tooling. The 0.75 inch cutting diameter pairs with a 2.25 inch length of cut, giving machinists extended reach for deeper pockets and slots. A 30-degree spiral flute geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation. This tool is installed and used by machinists and tool-and-die professionals operating manual or CNC milling machines.
The C39093 is suited for milling cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and steel in both job shop and production environments. The centercutting design allows for direct plunge entry into workpieces without a pre-drilled hole, which is useful in slotting and pocketing operations. The straight-cylindrical shank with Weldon flat accommodates standard end mill holders and set-screw chucks. At 5.25 inches overall length, it fits standard vertical and horizontal milling setups where additional reach beyond standard-length tooling is required. This is a Series HG-2 long-length end mill.
Designed for use in standard end mill holders and set-screw chucks accepting a 0.75 inch shank diameter. Primary workpiece materials include cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and steel. Series HG-2 long-length designation.
Installation is performed by machinists using standard end mill holders or Weldon-flat set-screw chucks on milling machines. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and machine power is off before changing tooling. Confirm holder bore size matches the 0.75 inch shank and that the Weldon flat is properly aligned with the set screw before torquing. Follow the machine tool manufacturer guidelines and applicable shop safety codes when setting tool offsets and depth of cut.
