The CLEVELAND C39010 is a single-end ball end mill designed for finishing operations in ferrous materials including cast iron and steel. Built from high speed steel and coated with titanium nitride (TiN) for improved wear resistance and surface hardness, this tool features a 0.125-inch mill diameter and a 30-degree helix angle. The spiral flute geometry with two flutes promotes chip evacuation and clean cutting action. It is intended for use in CNC machining centers, knee mills, and manual milling machines wherever a precise ball-nose profile is required.
This end mill is suited for finishing passes on cast iron and steel workpieces in job shop, tool and die, and general machining environments. The 0.375-inch length of cut, 0.375-inch shank diameter, and 2.3125-inch overall length make it compatible with standard collet and end mill holders. The right-hand cut and right-hand flute direction are consistent with conventional milling setups. Single-end construction is standard for this tool class.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard tooling selection for milling applications in cast iron and steel with primary fitment in standard collet holders accepting a 0.375-inch shank diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop safety procedures. Ensure the machine spindle is fully powered down and the tool holder is clean and free of debris before seating the shank. Confirm runout with a dial indicator after clamping to minimize tool deflection and premature wear. Do not exceed the rated length of cut during plunge or contour operations.
