The CLEVELAND C33835 is a 2-flute square end mill designed for general-purpose milling in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Built from high speed steel with a TiCN (titanium carbonitride) finish, it delivers improved wear resistance and longer tool life compared to uncoated HSS tooling. The cutting diameter is 0.625 inches, the length of cut is 1.125 inches, and the overall length is 3.375 inches. It features a right-hand cut, right-hand spiral flute at a 30-degree helix angle, and is centercutting, allowing both plunge and peripheral milling operations. The straight cylindrical shank with Weldon flat accepts standard 0.5-inch tool holders. This tool is part of the Series HG-2 line and is intended for use by machinists and toolroom professionals.
This end mill is suited for milling operations on cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and steel in both manual and CNC machining centers. The HG-2 series is a regular-length design, making it appropriate for standard-reach slotting, profiling, and contouring operations where rigidity is important. The 2-flute configuration provides good chip clearance, particularly useful when working in softer materials or when chip evacuation is a priority. It is not an extended-reach tool and is best used in setups where the workpiece allows direct access without deep overhang.

Installation is performed by qualified machinists following standard tool-holding procedures. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Verify the Weldon flat is properly aligned with the set screw in the tool holder to prevent axial pull-out during cutting. Follow the machine manufacturer and tooling manufacturer feed and speed recommendations for the specific workpiece material before beginning any cut.
