The CLEVELAND C33810 is a single-end square end mill designed for material removal and profile milling in ferrous and non-ferrous applications. Manufactured from high speed steel (HSS) with a TiCN coating, this tool delivers improved wear resistance and surface hardness over uncoated HSS, making it well suited for cutting cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and steel. It features a 0.25-inch mill diameter, a 0.5-inch length of cut, and a 30-degree helix angle on a two-flute spiral flute configuration. The straight cylindrical shank with Weldon flat measures 0.375 inches in diameter. Installation and use are handled by machinists and toolroom professionals working with vertical mills and CNC machining centers.
This end mill is part of the Cleveland HG-2 series, which targets general-purpose milling on cast iron, steel, and non-ferrous materials. Its centercutting capability allows plunge entry as well as conventional side milling. The regular-length profile and 2.4375-inch overall length fit standard tool holders used in both manual and CNC setups. Right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction are standard for conventional spindle rotation. It is appropriate for both roughing passes at moderate depths and finish passes where a two-flute configuration aids chip clearance.
Designed for use on cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and steel workpieces. Fits standard 0.375-inch straight-shank tool holders and side-lock holders equipped for a Weldon flat. Part of the Cleveland HG-2 series for general-purpose milling applications.
Secure the shank fully into the tool holder to the recommended engagement depth before tightening; the Weldon flat must align with the set screw to prevent pullout. Power down and lock out the spindle before changing or inspecting tooling. Use appropriate cutting fluid or mist coolant for steel and cast iron applications to manage heat and extend tool life. Inspect the cutting edges for wear or chipping before each use and replace the tool if edge integrity is compromised.
