The CLEVELAND C33766 is a single-end square end mill designed for precision material removal in ferrous and non-ferrous machining applications. Ground from high speed steel (HSS) and finished with a titanium nitride (TiN) coating, this tool delivers extended wear resistance compared to uncoated HSS. It measures 13/32 inches in cutting diameter with a 13/16-inch length of cut and a 3/8-inch straight shank. The 2-flute, spiral-flute geometry supports chip evacuation and is centercutting, allowing direct plunge entry. Overall length is 2-11/16 inches. This end mill belongs to Cleveland's HG-2 series and is installed by machinists and tool-and-die professionals on manual mills and CNC machining centers.
This end mill is suited for milling operations in cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and steel. Its right-hand cut and right-hand flute configuration make it compatible with standard spindle rotation on conventional knee mills and vertical machining centers. The regular-length classification positions it for general-purpose slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling where extended reach is not required. Primary workpiece material codes P, K, and N indicate suitability across steel, cast iron, and non-ferrous alloy stock.
Designed for use with standard 3/8-inch end mill holders and collets on vertical knee mills and CNC machining centers. Rated for primary workpiece materials including steel (P), cast iron (K), and non-ferrous metals (N) per ISO material group classification.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer's tooling guidelines. Secure the shank fully in a compatible end mill holder using the Weldon flat to prevent pullout under cutting load. Verify spindle speed and feed rate settings against material-specific cutting data before engaging the workpiece. Always de-energize and lock out the machine before changing or adjusting tooling.
