The CLEVELAND C33742 is a square end mill designed for precision material removal in milling operations. Built from high speed steel, this two-flute tool features a 13/32 inch (0.4063 inch) cutting diameter and a 13/16 inch (0.8125 inch) length of cut. The right-hand spiral flute geometry and 30-degree helix angle promote efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. Centercutting capability allows the tool to plunge directly into workpiece material, expanding its versatility in slotting and profiling applications. It ships uncoated in the HG-2 series configuration with a straight cylindrical shank that includes a Weldon flat for positive tool retention.
This end mill is suited for machining cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and steel in production and maintenance shop environments. Its regular-length geometry makes it appropriate for standard reach milling tasks where rigidity is favored over extended reach. The 3/8 inch shank diameter fits common collet and end mill holder sizes found in vertical machining centers and manual knee mills. Machinists working with ferrous and non-ferrous stock will find the two-flute design effective for slotting, profiling, and light pocket milling.
Compatible with primary workpiece materials including cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and steel. Fits 3/8 inch collets and end mill holders with Weldon flat retention. Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use tool for standard milling setups requiring a 13/32 inch cutting diameter in the HG-2 series.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop safety protocols. Power down and lock out the spindle before loading or changing tools. Seat the shank fully into the holder and tighten the set screw against the Weldon flat to secure the tool against axial pullout. Confirm runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut, and select feed and speed parameters appropriate for the workpiece material and machine horsepower.
