The CLEVELAND C33691 is a double-end, square-profile end mill designed for precision milling operations in machine shop and manufacturing environments. Manufactured from high speed steel with a titanium carbonitride (TiCN) finish, it offers improved hardness and surface lubricity compared to uncoated HSS tooling. The cutter measures 5/32 inch in diameter with a 7/16 inch length of cut and a 3/8 inch straight-cylindrical shank with Weldon flat. Overall length is 3-1/8 inches. The two-flute, spiral configuration with a 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation. This is a centercutting tool, suitable for plunge operations. Machinists and CNC operators install and use this tool.
The C33691 is designed for milling cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and steel. Its regular-length geometry and HD-2 series construction make it well suited for general-purpose slotting, profiling, and plunge cutting in both manual and CNC machining setups. The double-end design provides two usable cutting ends, extending tool service life in high-volume production environments. It is appropriate for light to medium material removal on a variety of workpiece materials common in job-shop and production machining settings.
Rated for use in cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and steel workpieces. Compatible with standard 3/8 inch collet chucks and Weldon-style end mill holders. Belongs to the CLEVELAND HD-2 series of regular-length square end mills.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and machine power secured. Seat the Weldon flat against the set screw in the tool holder and torque per the holder manufacturer's specification to prevent tool pullout. Confirm runout with a dial indicator before cutting to avoid premature tool wear or dimensional error. Follow applicable shop safety procedures for rotating cutting tools.
