The CLEVELAND C33650 is a double-end, two-flute square end mill designed for precision milling in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Manufactured from high speed steel with a titanium nitride (TiN) finish, this end mill delivers extended tool life and reduced friction during cutting. The 5/32 inch diameter cutting edge and 7/16 inch length of cut make it well suited for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling in tight tolerances. A 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation. The center-cutting geometry allows direct plunge entry without pre-drilling. Licensed machinists, toolroom operators, and CNC programmers working in job shop and production environments rely on this series for consistent performance in small-diameter applications.
The C33650 is rated for primary use in cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and steel. The HD-2 series targets demanding milling operations where tool rigidity and coating durability matter. The straight-cylindrical shank with Weldon flat accommodates standard end mill holders and side-lock toolholders. The double-end configuration doubles usable cutting life from a single tool, making it a practical choice for high-volume shops managing tooling costs. At 3-1/8 inch overall length with a regular-length classification, it fits standard tool holders without requiring extended-reach adapters.
Designed for use in standard end mill holders and side-lock toolholders accepting a 3/8 inch straight shank. Suitable for milling cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and steel workpieces across CNC and manual milling machines.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the holder and torque the set screw against the Weldon flat per the toolholder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before committing to a production cut, particularly at small diameters where deflection affects dimensional accuracy.
