The CLEVELAND C33530 is a single-end square end mill designed for material removal in milling operations on non-ferrous metals. Built from high speed steel (HSS) with a titanium nitride (TiN) coating, it delivers improved wear resistance and extended tool life compared to uncoated HSS. The mill measures 0.75 inches in diameter with a 4-inch length of cut, a 0.75-inch straight-cylindrical shank with Weldon flat, and an overall length of 6.25 inches. The 37-degree helix angle and two-flute spiral geometry promote efficient chip evacuation. It is center-cutting and cuts in a right-hand direction. This tool belongs to the HGA-2 series and is classified as an extra-long length end mill.
The C33530 is suited for milling operations requiring extended reach, such as deep-pocket profiling and slotting in non-ferrous workpiece materials including aluminum, brass, copper, and similar alloys. The extra-long 4-inch length of cut makes it appropriate for applications where standard-length end mills cannot reach the full depth of the feature. It is used in manual milling machines, CNC machining centers, and horizontal mills across job shops, production facilities, and maintenance departments.
Designed for use in standard 3/4-inch end mill holders and collet chucks. Primary workpiece material is non-ferrous metal. Belongs to the HGA-2 series of extra-long high speed steel end mills.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or tool and die technicians. Ensure the spindle is powered down and the machine is in a safe, locked-out state before loading or removing the tool. Seat the shank fully in the holder and torque the set screw against the Weldon flat to the holder specification to prevent pull-out under cutting loads. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut, particularly given the extended length, as deflection is a greater concern than with standard-length end mills.
