The CLEVELAND C33273 is a 4-flute, single-end square end mill manufactured from high speed steel with a TiCN (Titanium Carbonitride) finish. It features a 11/16-inch (0.6875-inch) cutting diameter, a 1-5/8-inch length of cut, and a 5/8-inch straight-cylindrical shank with a Weldon flat for secure tool holding. The TiCN coating increases surface hardness and reduces heat buildup, extending tool life in demanding applications. The 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. This end mill is designed for use by machinists and tooling professionals in production and job-shop environments.
The C33273 is suited for milling operations on cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and steel. Its centercutting geometry allows both plunge and peripheral milling. The right-hand cut and right-hand spiral flute configuration is standard for conventional CNC and manual milling setups. With a 3-3/4-inch overall length, it fits typical spindle clearance requirements for general-purpose milling work. The HG-4C series designation indicates a regular-length, heavy-duty geometry profile intended for productive metal removal rates across common workpiece materials.
Designed for use in standard 5/8-inch end mill holders, collet chucks, or Weldon-style set-screw holders on CNC machining centers and manual knee mills. Primary workpiece materials are cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and steel, consistent with ISO material codes K, N, and P.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop safety procedures. Ensure the spindle is fully powered down and locked out before installing or removing the tool. Seat the shank fully into the holder and align the Weldon flat with the set screw before torquing. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut, and confirm that cutting parameters — speed, feed, and depth of cut — are appropriate for the workpiece material and machine capability.
