The CLEVELAND C33260 is a single-end square end mill designed for metal removal in milling operations on vertical and horizontal machining centers. Built from high speed steel (HSS) with a titanium carbonitride (TiCN) finish, it delivers improved surface hardness and wear resistance compared to uncoated HSS tooling. The 7/16-inch cutting diameter pairs with a 3/8-inch straight-cylindrical shank that also accommodates a Weldon flat for secure set-screw retention. With a 1-inch length of cut and 2-11/16-inch overall length, this is a regular-length tool suited for general-purpose slotting, peripheral milling, and plunge cutting in a shop or production environment. Licensed machinists and toolroom technicians are the primary users.
The C33260 is rated for primary workpiece materials including steel, cast iron, and non-ferrous metals. The four-flute, right-hand cut and right-hand spiral flute geometry with a 30-degree helix angle balances chip evacuation against surface finish. The centercutting design allows direct plunge entry without a pre-drilled pilot hole, making it versatile for pocket milling and ramping operations. It carries the HG-4C series designation and is packaged individually.
Rated for use in steel, cast iron, and non-ferrous metal workpieces. Fits any standard 3/8-inch end mill holder or collet chuck that accepts a straight-cylindrical shank with Weldon flat. Part of the CLEVELAND HG-4C series.
Install in a clean, properly sized collet or Weldon-style end mill holder and torque the set screw against the flat to manufacturer specifications for the holder. Confirm spindle speed and feed rate are appropriate for the workpiece material and cutting diameter before engaging the cut. Always power down and lock out the machine before changing tooling. Inspect the cutting edges for chipping or wear before each use and replace the tool if edge condition is compromised.
