The CLEVELAND C33219 is a 4-flute square end mill designed for material removal and finishing in ferrous and non-ferrous machining applications. Built from high speed steel with a titanium nitride (TiN) coating, it offers improved surface hardness and heat resistance over uncoated HSS tooling. The cutter measures 13/16 inch (0.8125 inch) in diameter with a 1-7/8 inch length of cut and a 4-inch overall length. The 5/8-inch straight-cylindrical shank with Weldon flat provides secure tool holding in standard end mill holders. A 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. This tool is part of the HG-4C series and is suitable for use on manual mills and CNC machining centers.
This end mill is suited for cutting cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and steel in general-purpose shop and production environments. The centercutting geometry allows plunge milling in addition to peripheral and slot cutting operations. The regular-length configuration fits standard tool holding in both vertical mills and machining centers. Machinists running moderate material removal rates on cast iron components, aluminum, or low-to-medium carbon steel will find this a practical everyday cutter. The TiN finish extends tool life compared to bare HSS in abrasive cutting conditions.
Designed for use in standard end mill holders and Weldon-flat-style chucks accepting a 5/8 inch shank diameter. Suitable for machining cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and steel workpieces as indicated by primary material codes K, N, and P.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop-standard tool change procedures. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully in the holder and torque the set screw against the Weldon flat per the tool holder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut, particularly in finish-milling applications.
