Ground from high speed steel (HSS) with a titanium nitride (TiN) coating, this tool offers improved surface hardness and wear resistance over uncoated HSS. It features a 0.3438-inch (11/32-inch) cutting diameter, a 3/4-inch length of cut, and a 3/8-inch straight cylindrical shank with a Weldon flat for secure tool holding. The 30-degree spiral flute geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation. This end mill is centercutting, allowing plunge entry. It is part of the HG-4C series and is suited for machinists, tool-and-die shops, and general production machining environments.

The C33198 is appropriate for milling cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and steel in both manual and CNC milling operations. Its regular-length profile and 2-1/2-inch overall length make it well suited for close-tolerance slots, pockets, and profiling cuts where a shorter, stiffer tool is preferred.
