The CLEVELAND C33126 is a double-end, four-flute square end mill designed for high-performance metal removal in demanding machining environments. Built from high speed steel with a TiCN (Titanium Carbonitride) finish, it delivers improved surface hardness and wear resistance compared to uncoated tooling. The cutter measures 9/16 inch in diameter with a 1-3/8 inch length of cut and a 5/8 inch straight-cylindrical shank that also accepts a Weldon flat drive. Overall length is 5 inches. The 30-degree right-hand spiral flute geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation, and the centercutting configuration allows plunge milling in addition to standard peripheral cuts.
This end mill is engineered for use on cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and steel workpieces, making it a versatile choice for job shops, production machining cells, and tool rooms. It belongs to the HD-4C series, which targets heavy-duty milling applications. Typical use cases include slotting, profiling, and pocket milling on manual mills and CNC machining centers where a regular-length, moderate-diameter tool is needed. The double-end design extends service life by providing two usable cutting ends before the tool is retired.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use end mill for standard 5/8 inch straight-shank collets and Weldon flat holders on manual mills and CNC machining centers. Rated for cast iron, non-ferrous metal, and steel workpiece materials per Cleveland HD-4C series specifications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing tooling from the holder. Confirm the collet or end mill holder is clean and free of chips before seating the shank. Follow machine tool manufacturer torque specifications for draw bar and set-screw retention; do not overtighten Weldon flat set screws beyond holder manufacturer guidelines.
