The CLEVELAND C33108 is a double-end, four-flute square end mill manufactured from high speed steel (HSS) with a titanium carbonitride (TiCN) finish. It carries a 0.25-inch cutting diameter and a 0.625-inch length of cut, making it a compact, rigid tool suited for general-purpose milling operations. The TiCN coating increases surface hardness and reduces friction, extending tool life in demanding cutting applications. A 30-degree helix angle and spiral flute geometry promote efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. Licensed machinists, tool-and-die makers, and CNC operators are the typical users for this series.
The C33108 is designed for milling cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and steel in production and job-shop environments. Its 0.375-inch straight-cylindrical shank with Weldon flat accommodates standard end mill holders and set-screw chucks. The double-end design delivers two usable cutting ends, reducing per-cut tooling cost in repetitive operations. With a 3.375-inch overall length, it fits most vertical machining centers, knee mills, and manual milling machines without reach extensions.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and direct-fit cutting tool for standard 0.375-inch end mill holders and set-screw chucks used in vertical machining centers and manual milling machines. Primary workpiece materials include cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and steel per the HD-4C series specifications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator familiar with toolholder torque requirements and runout tolerances. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before changing or seating the end mill. Engage the Weldon flat fully against the set screw to prevent pull-out during cutting. Verify tool runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production cut.
