The CLEVELAND C33104 is a double-end, four-flute square end mill designed for precision milling of ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Built from high speed steel with a TiCN (titanium carbonitride) coating, it delivers improved hardness and heat resistance compared to uncoated HSS tooling. The cutting diameter is 0.1875 inches (3/16 inch) with a 0.5-inch length of cut and a 3/8-inch straight-cylindrical shank that also accepts a Weldon flat holder. Overall length is 3.25 inches. The double-end configuration doubles usable tool life before the end mill is retired. This tool is installed and used by machinists and tool-and-die professionals in CNC and manual milling applications.
The C33104 is suited for milling operations in cast iron, non-ferrous metals such as aluminum and brass, and steel workpieces. The 30-degree helix angle and spiral flute geometry promote efficient chip evacuation in these materials. Regular-length geometry makes it appropriate for standard-depth slot milling, profiling, and face milling where extended reach is not required. The centercutting design allows direct plunge entry into the workpiece without pre-drilling.
Designed for use in standard 3/8-inch collet chucks and Weldon flat end mill holders on CNC machining centers and manual knee mills. Rated for primary workpiece materials including cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and steel as specified by the manufacturer for the HD-4C series.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer's toolholder torque and runout specifications. Ensure the milling machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Verify shank seating depth and holder set-screw engagement before engaging the cut. Do not exceed the manufacturer's recommended feed and speed parameters for the workpiece material to avoid premature coating wear or tool breakage.
