The CLEVELAND C33035 is a double-end, four-flute square end mill manufactured from high speed steel (HSS). It is designed for milling operations requiring a centercutting tool capable of plunge cutting, peripheral milling, and slotting. The tool features a 30-degree helix angle with right-hand cut and right-hand spiral flutes, delivering efficient chip evacuation and a stable cutting action. With a 9/32-inch (0.2813-inch) cutting diameter and an 11/16-inch (0.6875-inch) length of cut, this end mill suits precision material removal tasks in a standard machining center or manual milling machine environment. It is uncoated and belongs to the Cleveland HD-4C series.
The C33035 is suited for machining cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and steel. The straight-cylindrical shank with Weldon flat accommodates standard end mill holders and set-screw style tool holders, making it a practical fit for production and job-shop environments alike. Its regular-length geometry keeps it rigid in short-reach applications where deflection control is critical. Machinists working in tool rooms, fabrication shops, and production machine shops will find this tool appropriate for a wide range of general-purpose milling work.
Rated for primary use in cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and steel (ISO material codes K, N, and P). Compatible with standard end mill holders and Weldon-style set-screw holders accepting a 3/8-inch shank diameter.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the machine spindle fully stopped and locked out per shop lockout/tagout procedures. Ensure the Weldon flat is oriented correctly to the set screw in the tool holder before torquing to prevent tool pullout. Verify runout at the cutting diameter after clamping, as excessive runout accelerates wear on an uncoated HSS tool. Follow the machine manufacturer and tooling guidelines for appropriate feed rates and speeds for the target workpiece material.
