The CLEVELAND C33031 is a double-end, four-flute square end mill manufactured from high speed steel (HSS), designed for general-purpose milling in machine shop and production environments. With a 13/64-inch (0.2031-inch) cutting diameter and a 9/16-inch length of cut, it handles slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling operations on a range of workpiece materials. The 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation while maintaining edge stability. Center-cutting geometry allows plunge entry, adding versatility without a secondary tool change. Machinists, toolmakers, and CNC operators install this tool in standard end mill holders or Weldon-flat collet chucks.
The C33031 is suited for milling cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and steel in both manual and CNC milling applications. Its straight cylindrical shank with Weldon flat accepts standard 3/8-inch end mill holders across most knee mills, bed mills, and machining centers. The double-end configuration provides two usable cutting ends, extending tool life between purchases. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute geometry are standard for conventional and climb milling on most horizontal and vertical spindle machines. The uncoated HSS construction makes it easy to resharpen in shops with tool grinding capability.

Installation is performed by machinists or toolroom personnel using a standard end mill holder torqued against the Weldon flat with the appropriate hex key. Power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling, in accordance with OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Verify runout with a dial indicator after seating the tool to confirm proper concentricity before cutting. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer's recommended speeds and feeds for the workpiece material and depth of cut being used.
