The CLEVELAND C32957 is a cobalt square end mill designed for high-performance metal removal in demanding machining applications. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel and finished with a titanium nitride (TiN) coating, this double-end tool delivers extended tool life and heat resistance when cutting ferrous and high-temperature alloys. The mill measures 0.375 inches in diameter with a 0.75-inch length of cut and a 3.5-inch overall length. A 30-degree helix angle paired with four spiral flutes promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. The centercutting geometry allows for both plunge and peripheral milling operations.
This end mill is suited for machining stainless steel, alloy steel, and high-temperature alloys in job shop, tool room, and production environments. The straight cylindrical shank with Weldon flat accommodates standard end mill holders and set-screw style toolholders. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute configuration is the standard orientation for most vertical and horizontal milling setups. The HDC-4C series is a regular-length design intended for general-purpose slotting, profiling, and side milling where rigidity and consistent performance are required.
Designed for use in standard 0.375-inch end mill holders and Weldon-style toolholders on vertical machining centers, knee mills, and CNC milling machines. Primary workpiece materials include high-temperature alloys, stainless steel, and steel as specified by material codes M, P, and S.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer torque and runout specifications for end mill holders. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, locked-out state before changing tooling. Seat the Weldon flat against the set screw to prevent axial pullout during cutting. Verify tool runout with a dial indicator after installation before beginning any cut.
