The CLEVELAND C32892 is a double-end, square profile cobalt end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding materials. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel and finished with a TiCN coating, it delivers increased wear resistance and tool life compared to standard HSS tooling. The cutter measures 0.3125 inches (5/16 inches) in diameter with a 0.5625-inch (9/16-inch) length of cut and a 0.375-inch (3/8-inch) straight-cylindrical or Weldon flat shank. With a 30-degree helix angle and center-cutting geometry, it handles both plunge and peripheral milling operations. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals working in job shops and production environments are the primary installers of this tool.
The C32892 is engineered for use on stainless steel, high-temperature alloys, and general steel workpieces, covering material codes P, M, and S. The HDC-2 series is built for applications where tool life and edge retention in tough alloys are critical. It is equally at home on manual mills and CNC machining centers where a 3/8-inch collet or end mill holder is available. The double-end design provides two usable cutting ends, extending value per tool in high-volume cutting programs.

Installation is performed by a machinist or toolroom professional. Before tool changes, confirm the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, locked-out state per applicable shop safety procedures. Seat the shank fully in the collet or end mill holder and torque the retention hardware to the machine manufacturer's specification. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or wear before each use; TiCN-coated tools should not be re-ground without stripping the coating first.
