The CLEVELAND C32880 is a cobalt square end mill designed for high-performance metal removal in demanding machining applications. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel and finished with a TiCN coating, this double-end tool delivers extended tool life when cutting stainless steel, high-temperature alloys, and carbon steel. It features a 0.125 inch (1/8 inch) mill diameter, a 0.375 inch length of cut, and a 0.375 inch straight cylindrical shank with a Weldon flat option. The spiral flute geometry and 30-degree helix angle promote efficient chip evacuation. Installed by machinists and tool-and-die professionals, it fits standard milling machines, CNC machining centers, and knee mills.
The C32880 belongs to Cleveland's HDC-2 series, a line engineered for cutting high-temperature alloys, stainless steels, and steels in production and job-shop environments. The double-end configuration extends tool value by providing two usable cutting ends. With a 3-1/16 inch overall length and a regular-length classification, it suits typical reach requirements in vertical and horizontal milling setups. Centercutting capability allows for plunge milling as well as conventional peripheral and slot milling operations.
Designed for use on conventional and CNC milling machines accepting a 0.375 inch straight-cylindrical or Weldon flat shank. Primary workpiece materials include high-temperature alloys, stainless steel, and steel (material codes S, M, P).
This end mill is installed by machinists using a collet, end mill holder, or Weldon-style set-screw holder rated for the 0.375 inch shank diameter. Confirm holder runout is within acceptable limits before use, as excess runout accelerates edge wear on small-diameter tools. Power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling. Follow shop-specific speeds and feeds for cobalt end mills in the target material.
