The CLEVELAND C32665 is a 4-flute cobalt square end mill built for demanding material removal in steel, stainless steel, and high-temperature alloys. The cutter runs a 0.75-inch mill diameter with a 3-inch length of cut, providing extended reach capability suited to deep-pocket and slotting operations. Manufactured from M42 cobalt high-speed steel and finished with a titanium nitride (TiN) coating, the C32665 resists heat buildup and wear at elevated cutting speeds. A 30-degree spiral flute geometry promotes chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. The right-hand cut, right-hand flute configuration is the standard for conventional and climb milling on CNC and manual vertical mills.
This end mill is intended for professional machinists working in job shops, production environments, and toolrooms. The long-series design with a 3-inch length of cut makes it well suited for operations requiring clearance past fixtures, deep side walls, or extended workpiece features. Typical applications include side milling, full-slot milling, and profiling in ferrous materials. The centercutting geometry also allows direct plunge entry into workpieces without a pre-drilled pilot hole. The straight cylindrical shank with Weldon flat accommodates standard end mill holders and side-lock toolholders.
Designed for use with standard 3/4-inch end mill holders and Weldon-style side-lock toolholders. Suited for cutting high-temperature alloys, stainless steel, and steel workpiece materials as specified in Cleveland HGC-4C series applications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop safety procedures. Secure the shank fully in the holder with the Weldon flat aligned to the set screw before applying torque. Verify spindle runout with a dial indicator before beginning the cut. Always power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing tooling.
