The CLEVELAND C32661 is a 4-flute cobalt square end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding materials. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel, it offers superior heat and wear resistance compared to standard HSS tooling. The cutter features a TiN (titanium nitride) coating that further extends tool life and reduces friction at the cutting edge. With a 7/16-inch cutting diameter and a 1-3/4-inch length of cut, this tool handles slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling operations. Spiral flutes with a 30-degree helix angle promote efficient chip evacuation. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals install this end mill in CNC machining centers and manual knee mills.
This end mill is suited for milling high-temperature alloys, stainless steel, and general steel workpieces. The HGC-4C long series designation provides additional reach compared to standard-length tooling, making it useful where extended projection is needed without sacrificing rigidity. The straight-cylindrical shank with a Weldon flat accommodates standard side-lock tool holders with a 3/8-inch bore. It is centercutting, allowing direct plunge entry into the workpiece. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute geometry follow conventional milling orientation for use in standard spindle configurations.

Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom personnel. Verify spindle and tool holder bore size matches the 3/8-inch shank diameter before mounting. Secure the Weldon flat against the set screw in the holder to prevent pull-out under cutting load. Confirm correct spindle rotation direction (right-hand) before engaging the workpiece, and apply appropriate cutting fluid or air blast for chip clearance in stainless and alloy applications.
