The CLEVELAND C32633 is a 4-flute cobalt square end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding materials. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel and finished with a TiCN coating, it delivers extended tool life when cutting high-temperature alloys, stainless steel, and general-purpose steel. The 0.5 inch diameter cutter features a 30-degree helix angle and spiral flute geometry that promotes chip evacuation and reduces heat buildup at the cutting zone. Centercutting capability allows for plunge entry without a pre-drilled pilot hole. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and CNC programmers working in production and job-shop environments.
The C32633 is suited for milling operations on high-temperature alloys, stainless steel, and steel workpieces where tool durability and finish quality are critical. Its regular-length profile and straight cylindrical shank with Weldon flat accommodate standard end mill holders and set-screw collet chucks. The 1.25 inch length of cut provides adequate engagement depth for shoulder milling, slotting, and profiling passes in ferrous and heat-resistant materials. Applications span aerospace component machining, die and mold work, and general precision metalworking.
Designed for use in standard 0.5 inch end mill holders, set-screw holders, and Weldon-style collet chucks. Rated for primary workpiece materials including high-temperature alloys, stainless steel, and steel (material codes M, P, S). Part of the CLEVELAND HGC-4C series.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop safety procedures and machine tool manufacturer guidelines. Secure the Weldon flat against the set screw in the holder to prevent axial pullout during cutting. Verify runout with a dial indicator after clamping before initiating a cut. Always confirm spindle speed, feed rate, and depth of cut are appropriate for the workpiece material before engaging the cutter.
