The CLEVELAND C32601 is a 4-flute cobalt square end mill designed for material removal in demanding metal cutting applications. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel and finished with a titanium nitride (TiN) coating, this end mill delivers extended tool life in abrasive and high-temperature materials. The 0.75-inch cutting diameter pairs with a 1.625-inch length of cut, making it well suited for full-depth slotting and peripheral milling passes. It is centercutting, allowing direct plunge entry into the workpiece. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute geometry with a 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and stable tool engagement.
This end mill is intended for use on ferrous metals including steel, stainless steel, and high-temperature alloys — material categories corresponding to ISO classifications P, M, and S. It is a regular-length tool in the HGC-4C series, sized for conventional vertical machining centers, knee mills, and manual milling machines where a 0.75-inch straight shank fits the collet or holder. A Weldon flat on the shank provides positive drive retention in set-screw style tool holders. Machinists, tool and die makers, and production machine operators are the primary users of this cutter.
Designed for use in 0.75-inch collets, end mill holders, or Weldon-style set-screw holders on vertical machining centers and manual knee mills. Suited for cutting steel, stainless steel, and high-temperature alloys as identified in the HGC-4C series application range.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and machine power isolated before tooling changes. Seat the shank fully into the holder and align the Weldon flat with the set screw before torquing. Verify runout with a dial indicator after installation to ensure accuracy and prevent premature tool wear. Follow the machine manufacturer's guidelines and shop safety procedures for speed, feed, and depth-of-cut selection.
