The CLEVELAND C32583 is a 4-flute cobalt square end mill designed for aggressive material removal in ferrous and high-temperature alloy applications. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel and finished with a TiN coating, this end mill delivers extended tool life and heat resistance in demanding cuts. The 9/32 inch diameter cutting edge runs a 3/4 inch length of cut with a 30-degree helix spiral flute geometry. The straight cylindrical shank with Weldon flat accepts standard ER and Weldon-style toolholders. It is centercutting, allowing plunge entry, and runs right-hand cut with right-hand flute direction. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals install this in manual and CNC milling operations.
This end mill is rated for primary workpiece materials including high-temperature alloys, stainless steel, and carbon and alloy steels. The HGC-4C series is designed for regular-length applications where a 9/32 inch diameter tool is required. Typical use cases include slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling on parts where tool rigidity and heat resistance are critical. The 3/8 inch shank diameter provides a stable interface in standard milling chucks and collet systems without requiring specialty tooling. This is a single-end, non-extended-reach configuration suited for close-quarter setups on vertical and horizontal mill platforms.
Rated for use in high-temperature alloys, stainless steel, and steel workpiece materials per material codes M, P, and S. Fits standard 3/8 inch collet chucks and Weldon-style tool holders.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following machine tool safety procedures. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and power is locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or chuck and verify the Weldon flat is engaged with the set screw when using a side-lock holder. Confirm runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production cut to avoid premature tool wear or chatter.
