The CLEVELAND C32574 is a 4-flute cobalt square end mill designed for demanding metal removal in professional machining environments. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel and finished with a TiN (Titanium Nitride) coating, this tool delivers extended wear resistance and heat tolerance at the cutting edge. The 0.125 inch cutting diameter pairs with a 0.375 inch length of cut and a 0.375 inch straight-cylindrical shank with Weldon flat. A 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation, while the centercutting design allows both plunge and peripheral milling operations. Machinists and toolroom technicians use this end mill on CNC mills and manual knee mills alike.
This end mill is engineered for cutting high temperature alloys, stainless steel, and carbon and alloy steels. The HGC-4C series represents a regular-length geometry suited to close-tolerance work in aerospace, medical, and general metalworking shops. The right-hand cut and right-hand spiral flute configuration is the standard orientation for conventional vertical milling setups. The Weldon flat on the shank provides positive engagement with set-screw style toolholders, reducing pullout risk during aggressive cuts in tough materials.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct application end mill for use in standard 3/8 inch collets, ER-style chucks, or Weldon flat side-lock holders on CNC machining centers and manual vertical mills. Primary workpiece materials are high temperature alloys, stainless steel, and steel.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop tooling procedures. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is locked out before changing tooling. Seat the Weldon flat securely against the set screw in the toolholder to the specified clamping torque for the holder size. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production cut, particularly when working to tight tolerances in stainless or alloy materials.
