The CLEVELAND C32570 is a 4-flute cobalt square end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding material applications. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel, this tool delivers heat resistance and edge retention when cutting stainless steel, high-temperature alloys, and carbon steel. The 7/16 inch cutting diameter pairs with a 1 inch length of cut, providing solid metal removal in a regular-length profile. A 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. This end mill is intended for use by machinists and tool-and-die professionals running manual or CNC milling equipment.
This end mill is suited for milling operations in job shops, maintenance facilities, and production environments where stainless steel and high-temperature alloys are common workpiece materials. The HGC-4C series targets applications that require a durable, uncoated cobalt tool where heat generation at the cut zone is a primary concern. The straight-cylindrical shank with Weldon flat accommodates standard side-lock toolholders common in vertical and horizontal milling setups. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry into the workpiece without a pre-drilled pilot hole.

The 3/8 inch shank fits standard 3/8 inch collets and side-lock toolholders on CNC and manual milling machines.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and de-energized before changing tooling. Secure the Weldon flat shank in a properly sized side-lock holder or collet chuck, torquing the set screw to the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning the cut, and confirm appropriate spindle speed and feed rate for the workpiece material before engaging the tool.
