Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel, it delivers heat resistance and edge retention in demanding cutting conditions. The tool features a TiCN (titanium carbonitride) coating over a spiral flute geometry with a 30-degree helix angle, promoting efficient chip evacuation and reduced cutting forces. At 0.75 inches in diameter with a 1.3125-inch length of cut, it is sized for general-purpose slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling. Centercutting capability allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece. This end mill is installed by machinists and toolroom operators in manual mills and CNC machining centers.
The C32552 is suited for ferrous metal cutting applications in both job shop and production environments. Its regular-length geometry fits standard tool holders and collet chucks with a 0.75-inch shank bore. The HGC-2 series designation identifies this as part of Cleveland's cobalt end mill line built for general-purpose use in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and similar alloys. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute configuration is the standard orientation for conventional milling setups. No chipbreaker or variable helix features are present, keeping the geometry straightforward for consistent finish and predictable tool behavior.

Installation is performed by machinists using standard end mill holders or collet chucks rated for 0.75-inch shank diameters. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank to the minimum insertion depth recommended by the tool holder manufacturer to prevent runout. Verify spindle rotation direction matches the right-hand cut orientation before engaging the workpiece.
