The CLEVELAND C32254 is a single-end square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal cutting applications. Built from powdered metal (PM) tool steel and finished with a titanium carbonitride (TiCN) coating, it delivers extended tool life and improved wear resistance compared to standard HSS tooling. The cutting diameter is 0.75 inches, the length of cut (LOC) is 1.625 inches, and the overall length (OAL) is 3.875 inches. The 0.75-inch shank diameter provides a rigid, concentric grip in standard end mill holders. Four spiral flutes with a 30-degree helix angle promote smooth chip evacuation and balanced cutting forces across a range of materials. This tool is installed by machinists and CNC operators in production and job-shop environments.
The C32254 is suited for milling steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, and similar ferrous materials in both manual and CNC machining centers. Its coarse pitch flute geometry and TiCN coating make it a practical choice for general-purpose profiling, slotting, and peripheral milling at moderate to aggressive feed rates. The right-hand cut and right-hand spiral flute configuration is standard for the majority of vertical and horizontal milling setups. It fits conventional end mill holders, collet chucks, and hydraulic holders accepting a 0.75-inch shank.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or standard tooling selection for milling machines and CNC machining centers accepting a 0.75-inch shank end mill in end mill holders, collet chucks, or hydraulic toolholders.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing the tool. Secure the shank to the full recommended engagement depth in the holder and torque the retention hardware per the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before commencing a cut; excessive runout accelerates edge wear and reduces surface finish quality.
