The CLEVELAND C32243 is a single-end square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal fabrication and machining environments. Built from powdered metal (PM) high-speed steel, it delivers improved wear resistance and toughness compared to conventional HSS tooling. The cutting geometry features 3 flutes with a 30-degree helix angle and a TiCN (Titanium Carbonitride) coating, which reduces friction and extends tool life in demanding materials. With a 0.25 inch cutting diameter, a 0.625 inch length of cut, and a 0.375 inch shank, this end mill handles slotting, profiling, and finishing cuts in a compact, rigid package. It is installed and operated by machinists and tool and die professionals in CNC and manual milling applications.
The C32243 belongs to the CLEVELAND PMRC series and is suited for milling ferrous metals, alloy steels, stainless steel, and similar work materials where a TiCN-coated PM tool is the appropriate selection. The coarse pitch configuration and right-hand cut with right-hand flute geometry make it a standard choice for conventional milling setups. Its 2.4375 inch overall length provides adequate reach while maintaining rigidity for accurate, repeatable cuts in both production and job-shop environments.
Part of the CLEVELAND PMRC series. Designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual vertical mills with a 0.375 inch collet, end mill holder, or equivalent toolholder accepting a 0.375 inch shank diameter.
This end mill is installed by a machinist or toolroom professional using standard end mill holders or collet chucks rated for the 0.375 inch shank diameter. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down or in E-stop before tool changes. Verify runout with a dial indicator after seating the tool to confirm concentricity before cutting. Follow the machine manufacturer and tooling manufacturer feed-and-speed recommendations for the specific work material.
