The CLEVELAND C32003 is a square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. Built from M42 powdered metal and finished with a TiCN (Titanium Carbonitride) coating, this tool delivers elevated hardness and wear resistance compared to standard high-speed steel cutters. It features four right-hand spiral flutes with a 37-degree helix angle, promoting efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. With a 0.75-inch mill diameter, a 1.625-inch length of cut, and a 3.875-inch overall length, this end mill is suited for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling in a production-shop or job-shop setting. Installation and setup are handled by machinists and CNC operators.
The C32003 falls within the PM-4 series and is intended for use in regular-length milling applications. Its straight-cylindrical shank with a Weldon flat accommodates standard end mill holders and set-screw style toolholders. The tool is centercutting, allowing plunge entry without a pre-drilled hole. Primary workpiece material codes indicate compatibility with hardened steels (H), cast iron (K), stainless steel (M), carbon and alloy steels (P), and heat-resistant superalloys (S), making it a versatile choice across a broad range of metalcutting applications.
The C32003 is rated for use on workpiece materials coded H, K, M, P, and S, covering hardened steels, cast irons, stainless steels, carbon and alloy steels, and heat-resistant superalloys. It fits standard 3/4-inch end mill holders and Weldon-flat collet holders.
This end mill is installed and operated by machinists, CNC programmers, and toolroom technicians. Always ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully in the holder and torque the set screw against the Weldon flat per the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut, particularly in finish-milling or tight-tolerance applications.
