The CLEVELAND C31055 is a single-end roughing end mill designed for aggressive material removal in milling applications. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel and finished with a TiAlN coating, it handles tough ferrous materials and elevated cutting temperatures with consistent performance. The 1/2 inch diameter, 4-flute, fine-pitch geometry generates a corrugated chip pattern that breaks chips into small segments, reducing cutting forces and heat buildup. With a 1.25 inch length of cut and 3.25 inch overall length, this tool is suited for standard reach roughing passes in a vertical or horizontal milling setup. Licensed machinists and toolroom technicians are the primary users.

This end mill is used in job shop and production environments for roughing passes on steel, stainless steel, and other ferrous alloys. The right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction make it compatible with conventional CNC machining centers and manual knee mills.
