The CLEVELAND C30980 is a single-end roughing end mill designed for aggressive material removal in milling applications. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel and coated with TiCN for improved wear resistance and heat tolerance, it is suited for cutting ferrous and harder workpiece materials. The cutter measures 0.5 inches in diameter with a 1.25-inch length of cut and a 3.25-inch overall length. Four flutes with a fine pitch and a 30-degree maximum helix angle provide efficient chip evacuation during roughing passes. A Weldon flat shank ensures positive tool retention in the spindle. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals install this end mill in CNC machining centers and manual knee mills.
