The CLEVELAND C26351 is a straight-flute chucking reamer designed to bring bored or drilled holes to precise finished dimensions. Ground from high-speed steel (HSS) with a bright, uncoated finish, it delivers consistent performance in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The reamer measures 0.625 inches in diameter with a 9 inch overall length and a 2.25 inch flute length. Eight flutes and a right-hand cut produce a smooth, accurate bore finish. The straight shank seats directly in standard drill press or lathe chucks, making tool changes straightforward on the shop floor.
This reamer is suited for machine shop, toolroom, and maintenance applications where close-tolerance hole finishing is required. Typical use cases include finishing pilot holes in fixtures, dies, and mechanical assemblies in both production and job-shop environments. The 5/8 inch diameter fits common bore sizes found in bushings, pins, and bearing seats across a wide range of general machining work. It is installed and operated by machinists, tool and die makers, and maintenance technicians using standard drill presses, lathes, or milling machines.
Designed as a standard straight-shank chucking reamer for use in drill presses, engine lathes, turret lathes, and milling machines equipped with a suitable chuck or collet capable of holding a straight shank at the 5/8 inch diameter.
A licensed machinist or qualified technician should install and operate this reamer following standard machine tool safety practices. Power down and lock out the machine before mounting or removing the reamer from the chuck or collet. Use cutting fluid appropriate to the workpiece material to extend tool life and improve finish quality. Never hand-turn a chucking reamer in a workpiece; always use a machine drive to maintain proper alignment and avoid tool breakage.
