The CLEVELAND C25513 is a straight-flute chucking reamer machined from high-speed steel and designed for precision hole finishing in metal workpieces. Sized to Letter E, the cutting diameter is 0.2500 inches, placing it in the 0.2500 to 0.2999 inch diameter range. The bright, uncoated finish is well suited for general-purpose reaming where a coating is not required. With a 6-inch overall length and a 1.5-inch flute length, the tool provides the reach and chip clearance needed for accurate, close-tolerance bore finishing in production and job-shop environments.
This reamer is intended for use in manual or CNC drill presses, milling machines, and lathes where a straight shank is clamped in a chuck or collet. The right-hand cut and 6-flute configuration produce a smooth, consistent finish on through-holes and blind holes in steel, cast iron, aluminum, and similar machinable materials. It is a practical choice for machinists, tool-and-die makers, and maintenance technicians who need repeatable results on fractional or letter-size drilled bores.
Designed as an OEM-style machine reamer for use in standard drill presses, knee mills, CNC machining centers, and lathes equipped to accept a straight-shank tool in the applicable collet or drill chuck range.
Installation and use should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before mounting or removing the reamer. Seat the straight shank fully in the chuck or collet and confirm runout before cutting. Apply appropriate cutting fluid for the workpiece material to extend tool life and improve surface finish; dry reaming is not recommended for steel.
