The CLEVELAND C23819 is a bridge reamer designed for enlarging and aligning holes in structural steel and metal fabrication work. Built from high-speed steel with an oxide finish, it features a left-hand spiral, right-hand cut configuration with 4 flutes. The 7/8 inch diameter cutting head and 7-3/8 inch flute length handle the chip evacuation demands of deep reaming passes. The 3MT Morse taper shank mounts directly into compatible drill presses, radial arm drills, and magnetic base drills used in structural and ironwork applications. This tool is suited for machinists, ironworkers, and fabricators working on bridge, beam, and structural connection points.
Bridge reamers are standard tooling in structural steel fabrication shops, ironworking, and field erection crews where bolt holes must be brought to final diameter or aligned across multiple plies of steel. The C23819 is appropriate for use in stationary drill presses and portable magnetic drills wherever a 3MT taper shank is accepted. The oxide finish provides baseline lubricity and corrosion resistance for typical shop and field conditions.
Designed to seat in any drill press or portable magnetic drill accepting a No. 3 Morse taper shank. Suitable for use on structural steel and fabricated metal assemblies requiring 7/8 inch finished hole diameter.
Installation and use of this reamer should be performed by qualified machinists, ironworkers, or metal fabricators. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before seating or removing the Morse taper shank. Use appropriate cutting fluid for high-speed steel tooling when reaming steel to extend tool life and improve finish. Secure the workpiece firmly before starting the cut to prevent grabbing or tool breakage.
