The CLEVELAND C16969 is a cobalt jobber-length drill bit designed for cutting hard and abrasive materials in demanding shop and field environments. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel and coated with TiCN (titanium carbonitride), this bit runs at higher surface speeds and lasts longer between regrinds than standard HSS tooling. The split-point, web-thinned 135-degree point geometry reduces thrust on entry and self-centers without a pilot hole. The parabolic flute profile clears chips efficiently during deep-hole drilling. Overall length is 5 inches with a flute length of 3.625 inches. Diameter is 0.375 inches with a tolerance of -0.0010 to 0.0000 inches. This bit ships individually and is sold in minimum quantities of 5.

The C16969 is suited for drilling stainless steel, cast iron, and other ferrous alloys that wear down standard HSS bits prematurely.
