Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel, it delivers the heat and wear resistance needed for demanding production and fabrication work. The 135-degree split point reduces walking at entry and requires less thrust than a standard 118-degree point. The parabolic flute geometry clears chips aggressively, keeping the cutting zone cooler during deeper passes. At 7 inches overall length with a 4-3/8-inch flute, it reaches deeper setups than a jobber-length bit while maintaining a straight 25/64-inch shank for standard chuck compatibility. Licensed tradespeople and machining professionals install this bit in drilling operations where standard jobber bits fall short on reach or rigidity.
The C16797 is suited for through-hole and deep-hole drilling in structural fabrication shops, maintenance facilities, and machine shops.
