The 17/64 inch (0.2656 inch decimal) diameter bit features a 135-degree split point that self-centers on contact, reducing the need for a center punch on most surfaces. Overall length is 6.25 inches with a 3.875-inch parabolic flute that evacuates chips aggressively and reduces heat buildup during deep-hole drilling. Machined to ASME B94.11M and DIN 340 standards, this bit meets recognized dimensional and performance benchmarks for professional tooling.
The C16789 is rated for drilling aluminum, brass, carbon steel, cast iron, nickel alloy, plastic, stainless steel, and tool steel.
