The CLEVELAND C16559 is a cobalt jobber-length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in ferrous metals and hard materials. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel, it delivers superior heat and wear resistance compared to standard HSS bits. The 135-degree split point geometry allows self-centering penetration without a center punch, reducing walking on hard surfaces. A parabolic flute profile improves chip evacuation and reduces cutting torque. The straw oxide coating provides added lubricity and corrosion resistance. This bit is suited for production drilling environments where tool life and hole quality matter.

The C16559 is a heavy-duty bit sized at 1/8 inch diameter with a 1-5/8 inch flute length and 2-3/4 inch overall length. It is well matched for drilling mild steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, and other hard ferrous workpieces in fabrication shops, maintenance and repair operations, and light manufacturing. The straight cylindrical shank fits standard drill chucks without adapters. Right-hand cutting direction is standard for conventional drill press and hand-drill use.
