The CLEVELAND C16511 is a cobalt jobber-length drill bit designed for demanding metal-cutting applications in production and maintenance environments. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel, it delivers heat and wear resistance needed when drilling hard or abrasive materials. The bit runs a 135-degree split point that reduces walking and allows cutting to start without a center punch in many setups. A gold oxide finish adds a layer of surface protection. At 3.625 inches overall length with a 2.4375-inch flute, this is a standard jobber-length format suitable for most drill press and hand-drill chucks. Diameter is 0.1960 inches (wire gauge number 9). Installation is handled by machinists, maintenance technicians, and fabricators.
This bit is rated for use in cast iron, non-ferrous metals, stainless steel, and general steel stock. The parabolic flute geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation, which is especially important when drilling deep holes in gummy or stringy materials like stainless steel.
