Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel with an oxide coating, this bit handles superalloys, hardened steels, and other tough materials where standard HSS bits fail. The 135-degree split point starts on contact without center-punching and reduces walking on hard surfaces. With an overall length of 3.375 inches and a fast spiral flute design, it clears chips efficiently even in deep-hole passes. Licensed HVAC, plumbing, and electrical tradespeople reach for cobalt bits when drilling through structural members, heavy-gauge hangers, or equipment enclosures that standard twist bits cannot handle.
