The CLEVELAND C14206 is a screw machine length cobalt drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in demanding materials. Built to ASME B94.11M standards, it features a 135-degree split point that starts on contact without a center punch and reduces walking on hard surfaces. The parabolic flute geometry improves chip evacuation and reduces heat buildup during drilling. At 2-1/16 inches overall length, the stub-style body provides rigidity in short-reach applications. The M42 cobalt material grade makes this bit well-suited for drilling alloy steels, stainless steel, and aluminum where standard high-speed steel bits would dull prematurely. Licensed tradespeople and production machinists are the primary installers of this tool.

Installation Notes

Install and remove drill bits only with the drill press or power tool fully powered off and the chuck key removed from the chuck. Use appropriate cutting fluid or coolant when drilling alloy steels to extend tool life, noting that this bit does not have coolant-through capability.
