The CLEVELAND C13129 is an aircraft extension drill bit designed for precision drilling in aerospace and industrial applications. Built from high-speed steel with a bright, uncoated finish, it runs at wire gauge size 7 (0.2010 inches decimal diameter) and delivers a 135-degree split point with web thinning for self-centering entry and reduced walking on initial contact. The 6-inch overall length and 2.4375-inch spiral flute length give technicians the reach needed in confined or deep-access drilling situations. Right-hand cutting direction and a straight cylindrical shank suit standard drill chucks and pneumatic tooling common in sheet metal and airframe work.
This bit is suited for drilling aluminum sheet, mild steel, and composite aircraft structures where tight-tolerance hole diameters and controlled entry are required. The extended length is particularly useful when working through structural panels, ribs, or framing members that standard-length bits cannot reach. It is appropriate for use in both production shop environments and field MRO (maintenance, repair, and overhaul) settings. Fabricators, aviation maintenance technicians, and industrial metalworkers are the primary installers of this type of tooling.
Designed as an OEM-style aircraft extension drill bit conforming to NAS 907 Type B, Series 3957-6, suitable for use with standard straight-shank drill chucks and pneumatic drill motors used in aerospace and general industrial metalworking applications.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists, aviation maintenance technicians, or industrial fabricators familiar with drilling protocols for metal and composite materials. Secure the workpiece fully before drilling and verify chuck engagement on the straight cylindrical shank before operation. Use appropriate cutting fluid or lubricant when drilling ferrous materials to preserve bit life. Follow applicable workplace safety and FAA maintenance documentation requirements when performing work on certificated aircraft structures.
