The CLEVELAND C11689 is a jobber-length drill bit sized at No. 35 (0.1100 inches) and manufactured from high speed steel with a bright, uncoated finish. It features a 135-degree split point for fast engagement and reduced walking on entry, and a regular spiral flute geometry for efficient chip evacuation. At 2.625 inches overall length with a 1.5-inch flute, it fits standard jobber-length chuck capacity. The straight-cylindrical shank at 0.1100 inches diameter seats securely in most 3-jaw drill chucks. Right-hand cut with a tapered, web-thinned web configuration, it is built to NAS 907 Type B standards for heavy-duty service. Licensed machinists, maintenance techs, and trade professionals install this bit for precision small-diameter drilling.
This bit is rated for primary use in aluminum and is well-suited to light-gauge ferrous and non-ferrous metals in production and maintenance applications. The 135-degree split point geometry reduces thrust force, which is particularly useful when drilling thin-wall tubing, sheet stock, or close-tolerance holes without a center punch. Series 2222 construction and NAS 907 Type B compliance make it appropriate for aerospace-adjacent and general industrial use where dimensional accuracy is required. Package quantity is 1 bit per unit.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use jobber-length drill bit for standard 3-jaw chucks and drill presses accepting a 0.1100-inch straight-cylindrical shank. Primary workpiece material rating is aluminum; also suitable for general non-ferrous and light ferrous drilling applications per NAS 907 Type B specification.
Installation is performed by machinists, maintenance technicians, and trade professionals using standard drill presses, hand drills, or CNC drilling equipment. Ensure the chuck is fully released and the machine is powered down before inserting or removing the bit. Secure the straight-cylindrical shank fully into the chuck and tighten evenly to prevent runout. For small-diameter bits, avoid side-loading forces that can cause bit deflection or breakage.
