The CLEVELAND C11613 is a jobber-length drill bit sized at Letter E (0.2500 inches / 1/4 inch) and manufactured from high-speed steel with a bright, uncoated finish. It features a 135-degree split-point tip with web thinning, which reduces walking on entry and lowers the thrust force required to start a cut. The two-flute spiral design with a regular spiral type clears chips efficiently during through-hole drilling. Overall length is 4 inches with a 2.75-inch flute length and a straight-cylindrical shank diameter of 0.2500 inches. This is a heavy-duty grade bit built to NAS 907 Type B standards, making it a reliable choice for production and maintenance drilling operations.
The C11613 is well suited for drilling aluminum and similar non-ferrous materials in light manufacturing, fabrication, and general maintenance environments. Its jobber-length proportions fit standard drill chucks and right-angle attachments commonly used in sheet metal, structural, and assembly work. Machinists, tool-and-die technicians, and maintenance mechanics will find this bit appropriate for bench drill press and hand-drill applications where dimensional accuracy and repeatable hole size are required. The diameter tolerance of -0.0007 to 0.0000 inches ensures holes fall within close-tolerance specifications.
Designed as a jobber-length drill bit for use in standard drill chucks accepting a 0.2500-inch straight-cylindrical shank. Primary workpiece material is aluminum; also suitable for general non-ferrous drilling applications.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or maintenance technicians familiar with drilling equipment and safe cutting practices. Ensure the drill chuck is fully tightened and the workpiece is securely clamped or fixtured before beginning any cut. Use appropriate cutting fluid or coolant when drilling aluminum to extend bit life and improve hole finish, noting this bit does not support coolant-through delivery. Inspect the cutting edges for wear or chipping before each use and replace the bit if the point geometry is compromised.
